I never tried printing from Photoshop again after that, so I am not sure how to use them together harmoniously without causing issues with each others' software. I understand that you have issues with the printer printing photos in purple. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on. Most likely you are printing with an inkjet printer and the yellow and cyan colors have run out and you are printing in a mode that would use color ink for printing black. It's been working absolutely ok and printing actual black up until now, but today, in the middle of a sheet, it started printing purple instead of black. If the steps there do not resolve the issue you can try manually cleaning the printhead as shown in the post here. Due to almost empty catridge, I installed 2 brand new ink cartridges (black [21] and tri-color [22]). Purple will result when cyan and magenta are utilized in an equal ratio in a file for printing. Print a color pattern. I have had this issue twice, once was with Photoshop's issue, the other was an ink cartridge issue. I have a feeling this is your problem. Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums. Select any printer and then click "Print server properties" at the top of the window. On Brother Genuine Cartridges the color of the label will match the color of the cartridge cover. That seems to have corrected the issue. Never turn off the printer when ink cartridges are missing.
